Calloway County Criminal and Civil Records

The Calloway County Circuit Court hears criminal and civil cases involving more than $5,000. The Clerk makes records of these cases available to the public online and in person at the courthouse. Individuals can use the CourtNet 2.0 to perform a free criminal and civil record search. Users can search by name, party/business name, or citation.

Record seekers can request criminal and civil records 15 and 35 years old from the State Records Center by emailing a Record Request Form to state.records@ky.gov. Calloway County court records over 36 years old can be obtained from the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) for a fee. In-state customers must pay $20 per copy for criminal and civil records, while out-of-state customers must pay $25. Additional copies cost 20¢ per scanned page, 25¢ per photocopy, and 50¢ per microfilm copy. The KDLA has a Records Ordering System where inquirers can easily find criminal and civil records. However, online requests come with an extra $1.50 processing fee. Alternatively, requesters can mail a Civil or Criminal Case File Record Request form to the KDLA to obtain copies of a record. The appropriate fees in the form of a check or money order should accompany the form. The processing time takes about 8 to 10 weeks.

Calloway County Marriage and Divorce Records

Individuals can obtain Calloway County marriage and divorce records from 1958 to date from the Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics (OVS). These records cost $6 per copy and can be obtained through the following methods:

  • Online, phone, and fax: Purchases through these methods are handled by a third-party vendor for an extra fee. All major credit cards are acceptable for such requests.
  • By mail: Send a Marriage and Divorce Application (English and Spanish) and the appropriate fees to the OVS. The processing time is 30 working days.
  • In-person and Dropbox location: Applicants can visit the OVS lobby during business hours and complete an application form. They can also go to the visitor entrance and use the blank application on the Dropbox to request copies of marriage or divorce records.

Calloway County Birth and Death Records

The Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics (OVS) has birth and death records from 1911 on file and issues them to the public for a fee. The OVS charges $10 for a Calloway County birth certificate and $6 for a death certificate. Customers can purchase birth and death records online, by phone, by fax, mail, in person, or by drop-off. An approved third-party vendor handles all online, phone, and fax orders for an additional fee. The vendor accepts payments by credit cards, including Visa, Discover, American Express, or MasterCard. To submit a request by mail, send a completed Birth Certificate Application (English or Spanish) or Death Certificate Application (English or Spanish) and a check or money order to:

Applicants may visit the OVS Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to obtain copies of birth and death certificates in person or make a drop-off. A valid photo ID is required to obtain a certificate. The office will only return documents the same day if the application was submitted before 3:45 p.m.

Calloway County Property Records

The Calloway County Clerk’s Office is open for in-person property records searches from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Copies of property records like deeds, plats, wills, liens, mortgages, and releases are available for a fee.
